Today we’re announcing Elemental War 2, our next tower defense game evolving the idea of Elemental War with new gameplay mechanics, handcrafted levels, improved UI and controls and more!

Around two years after the full release of our first tower defense game Elemental War and releasing it on PC, Xbox and PlayStation we’re now announcing its successor, Elemental War 2.

Let’s start with the announcement trailer:

Elemental War 2 uses Elemental War as base and improves every aspect according to the feedback we received over the years. Hero mode got extended and will offer new items and quests. The levels are handcrafted now and have special gameplay elements and hidden secrets. In general paths are more interesting and we have some nice variations there already. We’re also improving the elementals and towers and as you can already see on the screenshots and in the trailer, the overall look of the game is so much better already.

Something we put special effort in for Elemental War 2 is the UI and the controls. Even though we liked the UI in Elemental War 1 it was a little old-school and especially with controller super hard to use. That was bad for us, as a big part of our players comes from Xbox and PlayStation as of now. We redesigned the whole UI and control scheme to work fine both with mouse & keyboard and with controller.

Elemental War 2 will be released in 2022 on Steam for Windows, Linux and Mac and is also planned to be released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S as well as PlayStation 4 and 5.
