September has ended and we’re closer to the console launches of Elemental War and Tri6: Infinite than ever before! And we have a first release date as well!

This report covers Elemental War, Red Skies: Ascension, Spine and Tri6: Infinite.

The main work we did this month was again working on the console versions of Elemental War and Tri6: Infinite. But we also continued work on Spine and planning our future.

Elemental War

Due to the work on the console versions for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 we had to fix and adjust several things. There were also some bugs that only affected the PC versions. So in September with Elemental War 1.7.3, Elemental War 1.7.4, Elemental War 1.7.5 and Elemental War 1.7.6 we released a total of four updates for the game to fix all issues we know about in the PC versions and already add some of the improvements we need for the console versions (like content reporting) anyway. All in all there were plenty of fixes both for gameplay (like some abilities not working properly), graphics and controls.

While the PlayStation 4 version still has a longer way to go due to some discussions with Sony, the Xbox version made good progress this month. We’re still working hard to get both versions released this year, but it’s not completely in our hands.

Red Skies: Ascension

In September exactly nothing was done for Red Skies: Ascension actually.

Spine

In September we released Spine 1.23.0 with some bugfixes and quality of life improvements. The integrity check now can be performed per project and doesn’t crash or hang anymore, database can be filtered for languages and downloads got a new view. There were also a lot more fixes you can find in the changelog.

The October update so far is pretty small even though it will contain at least one very important fix. And as we got some more reports for annoying bugs, we’ll try to get them solved for this update as well. In worst case they’ll end up in the November update. The October update is scheduled for October 16th.

We’re currently focussing on the console versions of Elemental War and Tri6: Infinite and in the meantime we’ll keep improving Spine with small fixes here and there. One of the things we want to do for the rest of the year is to fill some of the gaps in the info pages. That’s means providing a description for projects that currently don’t have one. We also think about adding more UI languages and updating the Russian translation as well in order to get the Russian community into Spine as well.

We also have some bigger plans for next year, but more about that when we’re closer to it.

Tri6: Infinite

Tri6: Infinite as well as Elemental War got a lot of work done for the console versions. The Universal Windows Platform (UWP) version which will be released on the Windows Store and through the Xbox Creators Program is ready and will be released on Friday, October 9th.

On October 12th a digital event from our German developer community takes place. You can play our demo there and talk to us if you like to. Read more about it here: http://de.games-bavaria.com/event/indie-outpost-nuernberg-11/

The Switch version should pass certification soon as well and will probably be released in November while PlayStation 4 still needs some discussions with Sony, but hopefully will be ready soon as well.

Together with the UWP release we will also update the other PC versions so they contain the latest fixes and improvements.
