Wow, already the second month of the year. And we have great news about Elemental War 2!
Elemental War 2
Elemental War 2 made very good progress in January. Our polishing is almost done, just a few graphics tweaks are missing. The soundtrack is complete, we fixed dozens of bugs and improved quality of life stuff and more.
We also got some more feedback during our second playtest that we could use to improve the game.
The game is already running fine on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Stadia and also passed the Steam review. We’re going to enter final cert for consoles very soon!
And finally we can also announce that Elemental War 2 will come to Xbox as well. That includes Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and a Windows version for Microsoft Store!
So for February we have to fix the remaining bugs and everything that pops up during our testing or from console certification while doing the final graphics polishing and the Xbox ports.
There will also be a demo in February, so keep an eye on our Steam page.
Also watch out for the release date announcement. Once we’re confident we don’t have to delay it due to the Xbox port we will announce the date.
And on top of all of that I gave an interview with stadiasource.com regarding Elemental War 2 and Stadia.

In January I released Spine 1.37 with a few bugfixes and improvements like better upload processing for developers and download size of updates getting displayed.
There wasn’t much progress for 1.38 yet, but I released a small helper tool to reduce the size of mod/vdf files. That will be integrated into Spine with 1.39 and ensure new uploads will be smaller. I will also optimize already existing mods as for bigger ones the savings can be significant actually (in my tests there were cases with 500+MB of unnecessary data).
Not 100% sure there’ll be big changes for 1.38, but at least the Visual Studio upgrade should be release ready, just need to properly set up the project for it. And today I got two requests for the savegame editor and at least one of these changes will make it into 1.38.
